A TV mirror allows you to have the TV in your living area or bathroom, but not have it looking like a TV? This means that you have complete control of your interior décor without having to take into account that huge screen. A TV mirror or a mirror TV takes a flat screen TV and hangs it up in a frame just a like a mirror. The mirror isn’t really a mirror is specially made glass coated with a material that affects the way the light travels through the glass. The light form the TV pass through, and works best when the room lighting is low, but when the TV is off the light from the room is reflected back to make it work like a mirror, this works best with high light levels. The mirror always looks most like a mirror from a distance. This all means that you can hang the TV on the wall in a frame of your choosing and it can be arranged to fit into your design theme and will not be the focal point of the room when it is off.
Of course you aren’t just limited to the living room you can have mirror TVs anywhere in the house. Other common places are the bathroom and the kitchen. In the bathroom they are usually mounted behind the vanity mirror and allow you the luxury of watching TV whilst you are getting ready. These TV screens are often small ones mounted in a section of the mirror which can also have lights fitted behind the mirror. In kitchens you could chose to have a TV mirror mounted in a splash back or cabinet. I have seen one mounted behind a gas stove so the cook could watch TV whilst working.
The idea of having the TV anywhere you need it but not looking like a TV is appealing and will help to de-clutter our living spaces. It is well worth considerating a mirror TV when you next redesign your living space
