Panasonic 37 Inch Flat Sceen TV

If you’re looking for a Panasonic 37” flat screen TV you have 4 from which to choose from. In this review we are only going to concern our selves with the latest model the Panasonic TC-L37U22.

When buying a Panasonic television, whatever your particular choice from your chosen price bracket you can be sure that you are going to be getting one of the best 37” flat screen TV sets available. Panasonic are a highly regarded manufacturer due to the quality sets that they produce both in terms of specification and reliability.

The latest 37 inch flat screen TV to be released by Panasonic is the TC-L37U22. The reason for discussing this and not the other 3 previous models is firstly because this is the latest model and secondly whilst being best spec’d TV it is also the cheapest option with the RRP being under $600 when bought direct from Panasonic.

Panasonic 37" Flat Screen TVThe Panasonic 37″ Class Viera U22 Series 1080p LCD TV (to give you its full name), is a mid range TV as the price would suggest. It has a full HD 1080p display which has a dynamic contrast ratio of 20,000:1 (this is the highest contrast ratios of the four 37 inch models available). The significance of this is that it produces deep blacks and bright whites.

This particular 37 in flat screen TV has decent connectivity options having an integrated ATSC tuner, 3 HDMI inputs, 2 composite inputs, 1 S-Video input, a PC input and an SD memory card slot.

Features that may be of interest to you are that you can directly insert the SD memory from your camera or camcorder and view your digital images directly on screen using the Viera image viewer. Also the TV has a feature called ‘Viera Link’ which allows for the interconnected control of the connected AV devices using the Viera Control, the devices such as cameras, Bluray players DVD recorders etc must be Viera Link compatible.

If there has been one criticism of this 37” flat screen LCD TV it is that the sound quality is poor. If you are going to be using an additional home cinema system then this is not going to be an issue, however if not then your may want to check the sound out with your own ears in your local TV showroom before deciding.

But let’s not forget that this particular 37” flat screen TV comes in at under $600 so it is never going to be the highest spec TV available, however has as already been said what you are buying with Panasonic it a high build quality and reliable TV set.
