LED TV

What exactly is an LED television? A LED television is an LCD television with LED’s to illuminate the display of picture. Some companies may put the LED’s across the entire back of the display or by placing them around the outside perimeter of the television screen. Both techniques use much less energy to run than both plasma and LCD’s. Basically it is an upgraded version of the older LCD television because of the faulty fluorescent lights that were originally used.

The televisions could be installed with over 1,000 LED lights inside. These lights can be dimmed or go out after a certain amount of use on the television. Although the picture is remarkably better with higher definition in colors and graphics, it sometimes can be a pain replacing all of the burnt out LED’s.

Take the Samsung 8000 Series of LED televisions. It is extremely slim and provides a whole new look to the household televisions from over the years. Technology is excelling so quickly that many LED’s are only inches thick compared to the older styles of television sets, which is a help in installing and relocating your product.

The main reason LED televisions were brought to the public is too enhance deep colors such as black that the LCD’s failed to correctly illuminate to its viewer. This new technology provides you richer and clear deeper colors and helps prevent glare during the day.

Although the price of this LED television product can be more costly to purchase, the quality of videos makes it well worth it. This product is considered to be more reliable than its older version, the LCD. A Samsung engineer had mentioned, ““the most dramatic effect of LED-lit TVs happens when the entire scene goes to black.” Details are much more focused on darker settings to give the viewer its absolute best.
