Dealing With Common LED TV Problems

Due to the advancements in today’s technology, appliances after another have taken on new exciting forms. Toasters have become toaster ovens. Electric fans have advanced to air coolers and air conditioners. The huge televisions that once filled up a lot of space have transformed into space-saving LED TVs. However, despite these advancements appliances still continue to be prone to certain issues regarding dysfunction. When your LED TV specifically experiences certain abnormalities, there are a few do-it-yourself tips which may help you resolve those problems.

If high voltage problem happens to be the cause of an LED screen gone bad, don’t panic. What you can do is unplug the unit and let it rest for about 30 minutes to give it time to auto reset. If this doesn’t solve the issue, you can carefully study if the circuit board is supplying power into the screen and determine if there are just some lose ends or wiring problems.

If the problem is that the screen only displays blackness, make sure that the cables behind the television are properly connected and plugged in. What you can do is disconnect them all, and then reconnect them tightly but carefully one by one. It can also be possible that your television’s screensaver function is the one causing the black screen. If none of these work, it is highly possible that the problem is on the television’s lamp, rear projection, or panel, so check if they are in any way damaged.

If your LED screen’s display only occupies half of the screen on the other hand, it is highly likely that the problem comes from a cold solder joint in the capacitor, inductor, or one of the television elements. If you are knowledgeable at disassembling and reassembling appliances and have good hands when it comes to handling a soldering iron, simply reflow the cold joints.

If the problems do not get resolved by any of the abovementioned tips, then it is better to bring your LED TV to the experts to see what is really wrong with it, and how to bring it back to perfect working condition.
