An LCD TV provides a great high quality, high resolution and beautifully clear picture. As well as this their design is sleek and very up to date. To place a great looking television set on a horrible stand would be a crime.
LCD TV stands come in all shapes and sizes, to cater for all scenarios. They can have a metal frame or fibreglass, glass and wood, along with many other materials and come in many different finishes.
Leaving looks behind, the most important thing you have to think about when buying a stand is whether or not it will be able to support the weight of your TV set. Most if not all TVs today come with their weight printed on them, or in their manual. Dont get fooled by how big or small a stand is. A big stand doesnt automatically mean that it is going to be able to support your TV, and visa versa. How much weight it can take depends on what materials its made from and its construction.
You also want to consider how much floor space it will take up. If you have a large living room, then you could consider a stand with the ability to tilt and swivel. A swivel will allow the TV set and stand to be turned around in any direction so that it can be viewed from any area of the room. The stand should be suitably spaced from the wall if you plan on using the swivel feature. You could opt for a stand with wheels or casters, so that you can move the stand around the room, gear for creating extra space when the TV isnt in use. Or it is also great if you want to use the TV in another room in your house.
Design is also very important. Your new TV stand should match or compliment the room that it sits in. A wood frames stand would go will in a old fashioned traditional house, while a modern style metal or black glass TV stand will go better with a contemporary home.
