When deciding upon the best LED TV consider all your options.

Samsung LED TV

Samsung claims you need the 3 Cs: contrast, color and clarity. They say that Samsung LED TVs tick all these boxes. Its 3,000,000:1 contrast provides an incredible range of brightness – from the darkest blacks to the whitest of whites. A wide range of naturally vivid colors are made possible by Samsungs Advanced Color Processing. The Motion Plus features 120 Hz picture technology to prevent motion blur, for a smoother picture.

The Samsung LED TV series are their thinnest HDTVs yet measuring in at only 1.2″ deep. They can be supported either by a stand or wall mounted with a single bolt at less than two inches from the wall.

Samsung LED TVs are also eco-friendly as they use up to 40% less power than conventional LCD TVs and are mercury free.

Another clever feature of the Samsung Series LED TVs is their InfoLink RSS Service feature which can display internet content in a sidebar on screen. As is to be expected connectivity isn’t a problem, with the USB 2.0 Movie: Multi-media Center feature on Samsung LED TVs you can connect your digital camera, MP3 player or memory stick through their menus system with ease.

Sony OLED Organic Panel

Sony claims to have the first OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) television, which features a 3mm thin panel. With the ability to turn off each organic pixel, the OLED TV has a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio to produce deep blacks.

Sony’s Super Top Emission technology improves brightness and efficiency.
Each pixel emits pure colour and can be stimulated individually, also because each OLED is contained in what Sony call a ‘micro-cavity structure’ light interference is inhibited and the end result is enhanced color purity.

Flicker free pictures are inherent with OLED technology because electricity is supplied to each element directly producing faster response times compared to convention LCD displays.

Again this new breed of television is more eco-friendly than its ancestors, OLED technology requires no backlight and achieves energy efficiency by consuming up to 40 percent less power than conventional LCD panels, also they are made from organic carbon based materials.

Toshiba Regza cinema Series LED TV

Toshiba uses its new FocaLight LED Backlighting to produce its stunning picture quality. Whilst other side-lit LED systems must sacrifice peak white brightness to allow for better levels of blacks Toshiba’s system is said to improve this aspect.

Toshiba’s FocaLight system uses a Full LED Matrix which utilizes local dimming of the LED matrix that allows it to create deep blacks and bright whites at the same time, this is where some other edge LED lit systems are inferior. The FocaLight capable televisions in the REGZA LCD TV range have a dynamic contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1.
