Virtual reality has long been a dream for video game fanatics. Imagine playing a first person shooter game in a virtual reality world, or really truly exploring some dungeon from your favorite Role Playing Game (RPG). While virtual reality isn’t here fully yet, there are 3-D PC glasses, which are the first step towards that ever elusive dream of virtual reality. If you’re like many gamers, the idea of changing the way that you game on the PC is an exciting prospect, but how much of an effect do good gaming glasses have now?
While VR might be a ways off yet, surely the precursor to a good pair of vr gaming glasses are modern 3D glasses, some of which actually work very well. These specs can definitely improve the fun of your PC games, but traditionally they tend to be more effective for games that are naturally seen from a first person point of view.
Current gaming glasses are very effective in creating a 3D effect, and while it might not be true virtual reality, there is definitely an added bit of excitement that comes when you are fully immersed in the game. As three dimensional gaming technology continues to advance and grow, we are going to get closer and closer to true virtual reality. While that might not be soon enough for some over eager gamers, for the majority of people a good pair of gaming glasses will strongly enhance the gaming experience, whether you are playing “Oblivion” or “Call of Duty” on your PC, or even some people are finding they really enjoy using these with the Nintendo Wii.
Until a fully functional version of virtual reality is made, for right now a good pair of 3-D PC gaming glasses for computers will simply have to be enough.
